October 2018

Our destination for this long weekend is the world-renowned valley town of Pai, in Mae Hong Son province, around 130 km from our projected starting point near Mae Rim.

The drive to Pai is still interesting & the road of many bends still has them (bends that is), but the surfaces have been improved & some widening has taken place, making the trip a little more relaxed & somewhat faster than before.

Our home for the long weekend is at one of the town’s luxury boutique hotels – The Quarter, located close to Pai’s cafes & bars, near to Walking Street yet surrounded by great mountain views.

The weekend will be very relaxed, with no formalities on the arrival day & Friday evening is free to explore the nearby café’s restaurants & bars in Walking Street. A list of ‘Things to do in Pai’ will be provided for you to consider how to spend your Chill-Out Saturday.

On Saturday evening we invite all participants to join for an a la carte dinner (International and/or Thai) in the hotel restaurant, preceded by a drinks reception (cash bar) under the giant lychee tree in the hotels walled forecourt, arranged exclusively for our group.

Sunday is at leisure and you will receive a map showing a couple of different ways to return to Chiang Mai, for those that would like to do a little more exploring of this fascinating region on their way home.

The weekend is now FULLY BOOKED. To join the waiting list, should we have any last-minute cancellations, please email rex@classiccarsoflanna.com
