Around a dozen Classic Cars, and many more members met at 10am at Nim City Daily.
This month's Sunday run to Nok Airfield at Lamphun (www.nokaviation.com) was organised by fellow enthusiast David H (Alfa Romeo). Thanks must go to David for arranging this special day out for us all, along with thanks to Tony Smallwood and his team at Nok Aviation.
The day started cloudy and rainy, and brought dismay to some members who had been hoping to get airborne in the restored Tiger Moth plane. A call from Nok Aviation confrimed that this plane would not be flying, but if the clouds cleared in time, flights would be available in the other aircraft, (Piper Cherokee, Cessna, Diamond)
We progressed in convoy out to Nok Airfield, and after a couple of false turns and almost ending up in the adjacent Lanna Airfield, we rendezvoued with some other members who, living on that side of town, had arranged to go straight to our lunch venue.
Lunch and drinks was available for purchase at very reasonable prices, and a selection of wines, beers and soft drinks were offered.
After lunch, 6 memebers and friends, and two "junior" members, elected to take a 20 flip in some of the club planes, whilst the remainder stood by and cheered them up, and clapped them back down again!
A great day was had by all.
