Sunday Run 27th May - to Chiang Mai X-Centre

About a dozen members and friends, with six clsssic cars met at 10:00am at our usual meeting point of Bistro1, Nim City Daily, for a light breakfast of coffee, tea, bacon sandwhiches and other items, laid on by host and Club Sponsor Chris Barr, at specially discounted Club prices for us.

Member Rex was on hand to sell to members the new Classic Cars of Lanna flags, at a cost of Bt 200 a pair. These flags fit comfortably on the side windows of most classic cars, and certainly enhance our "presence" both at a static display and in convoy on one of our Sunday Runs. All members present bought at least one pair!

At 11:00am we proceeded in convoy to The Chiang Mai X-Centre , in Mae Rim, the home of "extreme sports" in Chiang Mai.

Members got specially discounted rates on activities throughout the day, and were able to buy a meal and a beer either in the air-conditioned sports bar or open-air restaurant.

Four members tried the drift carts, the star was Rik who had travelled with Nest. Not only did he have the fastest time for our group he had easily recorded the fastest time of the day from the total of 42 entrants! Well done Rick!
