Obkhan Lunch Run to Nest & K. Earn's
Sunday 24th February

Over 25 members and friends met from 10am on Sunday 24th February, at our usual venue, Origin Swiss Cafe. Time to relax, socialise with fellow classic car enthusiasts & enjoy Origin's selection of beverages, bakery & breakfast options. Some new members travelled especially from Bangkok to join us, and tell us about their classic car collection in France.

At 11:30, we departed in convoy, led by Rik VB, initially towards the Samoeng Road, before heading of on a newly paved road through scenic sections of the Obkhan National Park. After a run of around 30km, we arrived at Nest & K. Earn's house at Nam Phrae, where many other members and friends had already gathered, in time for lunch.

Their house is situated in a large garden setting , with a beautiful swimming pool, which some junior members thouroughly enjoyed splashing in. Music was provided by a pianist / accordianist during lunch.

Highlights of the lunch included whole salmon, BBQ items and a range of fresh salads. A cash bar was available for local beers & imported wines. A lunch donation of minimum Baht 350 per person was requested, and we raised the grand total of THB30,000, which all went to the Philanthropy Connections Foundation - click HERE for information on their amazing works in Thailand & elsewhere.
