Sunday Lasagne Run - 24th February

About 20 members and friends, aloing with a small collection of classic cars, met for our monthly Sunday Run at 10:00am at our usual meeting point, Bistro1, Nim City Daily, where host and Club Sponsor Chris Barr laid on coffee, tea, bacon sandwhiches and other delights for our breakfast.

We assembled a collection of BMW, Jaguar, Lotus, Porsche, VW, and a new addittion in the form of member Renee's beautiful Riley convertible, once owned by a fomer Thai Prime Minister. It is wonderful that our members can continue to find these rare, and superbly preserved classics dotted around the barns, sheds and garages of the Kingdom!

We departed in convoy from NIM City Daily shortly after 11:30am, and our run took us South, along the Hang Dong Road, onto the Irrigation Canal Road, and to Baan Num Phrae the new home of our member Nest.

Nest and his wife Earn were truly gracious hosts, and had prepared not one, but two kinds of Lasagne, a Thai Panang curry, salads, fruits and other delights for our lunch. We were joined by a few more members and friends at the house, and had a gathering of some 25 people.

A fruit basket was presented on behalf of all of us to our hosts, to thank them for their wonderful hospitality.

One or two brave souls decided to try out the bracing waters of Nest's new swimming pool, while the rest kept to the safety of the land!

Many thanks are extended to Nest and Earn for kindly organising this event.
